Staff

Working as a team, the staff at Franklin Children’s Centre provide innovative and creative programming in a family-style group setting. Staff are certified as child care professionals by the Alberta government, and most have been with the Centre for many years.

Shazia, Program Director

Child care is my passion; I love working and teaching young kids. Franklin is an ideal place, as we all work like a family. I am an experienced child care professional with Level 3 certification and a master’s degree in Child Development. I am actively involved in community work, planning and organizing women’s social, educational and recreational activities. I am a mother of two wonderful sons and have a loving and caring husband.

I hold a Level 1 certification and have been working in the child care field for many years. I have been with Franklin Children’s Centre since 2006. I have a wonderful husband, two sons and a daughter. I love to spend time with my family. I collect candles and I love doing crafts!

Blanca

¡Hola! I have been in childcare for over 15 years. I hold a Level 1 certification and joined this very unique and wonderful centre five years ago. I have grown alongside many children, parents and fellow caregivers from whom I have learned so much. I look forward to coming to work and seeing “my” beautiful children. I wouldn’t be happier anywhere else. I have a wonderful husband and two grown children. I enjoy exercising, reading, and of course teaching the children to speak Spanish!

I have been with Franklin Children’s Centre since 2013. I have a bachelor’s degree in education (BEd) and a master’s degree in education (MEd). I also hold a Level 3 Child Care Certification. Child care is my passion because I love teaching and working with the kids. I am happy being a part of the amazing and wonderful Franklin Children’s Centre!

I am a dedicated worker with solid commitment to the development of every child at Franklin learning center. I joined the Franklin team back in 2017 and I have a masters degree in education. I also hold the level 3 certificate in child care. I like reading and gardening. I am married and have 3 wonderful kids.

I hold the Level 3 Child Care certification. I have done my Early Learning and Child Care Diploma from Bow Valley College in April 2018. I am passionate about child care and love to rejuvenate myself by spending quality time with the children because I forget any stress and worries on a daily basis. I completed by practicum at Franklin Children’s Centre and joined as full-time staff in September 2018.

I hold the level 3 Child Care Certification. I finished my Early Learning and Child Care Program (2019) from Bow Valley College. Originally, I’m from India. I love reading and travelling. Taking care of children is not only my passion but also due to my playful nature, I feel ecstatic and fulfilled whenever there are children around me. Franklin Children’s Centre gave me a new platform to accomplish my dreams.
